The Ravens
We are ravens! Hear our warning
in the bone-breaking silence!
We are the birds that stay. We know death.
We have seen it in the snowy mountain tops;
where clouds are held captive in the arms of tall
pines and aspens. In our blackness,
we cannot hide. We are brave! Hear our cry!
As long as we stay, men will live.
